Hi, I’m Mako! My ID says “Gisela”, but no one calls me that anymore… Well, my mom does, I guess.
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I moved to the US in late 2012 and got an “Alien of Extraordinary Ability” Visa for my work in the field of the Arts. Then, in 2022, I’ve mutated into an US citizen.
I’m a Renaissance (alien?) woman. I’ve studied and worked on anything and everything that caught my attention: Illustration, graphic design, graffiti, animation, video games, manga, art toys… I’ve even done a few tattoos!*
One day, I’ve discovered that all those weird unrelated things can come together in a field that I always loved: Advertising.
It just clicked.
So, I’ve put my extraterrestrial brains to work towards that goal, and now I’ve got diplomas on both Art Direction & Copywriting programs from Miami Ad School, and I’m on my senior year of a BA in Advertising at Universidad de Palermo.
This portfolio (!) also won a D&AD award and I was selected to be part of the New Blood Academy 2024, so I learned more stuff there.
I also study Italian and Japanese, and trying to figure out 3D software on my spare time.
This alien form feeds on knowledge.
And chocolate, who am I kidding.
